Job Description

Responsible for communicating with customers through incoming calls/inquiries as well as through outgoing calls to existing and potential customers. Identify and develop new leads, understand their needs, and ensure an overall smooth sales process. Ability to close sales and meet targets. Entering orders in our order system is also a large part of this position so the individual chosen for this position must have strong computer skills.


  • Communicating with customers, making outbound calls to potential customers, and following up on leads.
  • Understanding customers’ needs and identifying sales opportunities.
  • Answering potential customers’ questions and sending additional information per email.
  • Keeping up with product and service information and updates.
  • Updating and maintaining CRM of current and potential customers.
  • Explaining and describing features of products and services.
  • Staying informed about competing products and services.
  • Upselling products and services.
  • Researching and qualifying new leads.
  • Closing sales and achieving sales targets.
  • Entering orders into ERP system to generate internal demand, production, and shipping.
  • Follow-up on customer issues,
  • Generate summary reports for with supporting detail.
  • Organize/file records, reports, and various information into electronic document retrieval system.
  • Assist and support the Sales and Marketing Department(s) with various tasks and responsibilities as needed.
  • Function as a Customer Service Representative providing initial customer support for shipment, quality, and technical concerns, and determining appropriate escalation paths when required.
  • Initiate processing of customer RMA’s when returns are needed and warranted.
  • Complete and process appropriate customs documentation for international shipments.



Well-spoken with inside (or outside) sales experience. Able to build instant rapport and achieve customer interest, and ultimately satisfaction. Competitive, driven, self-starter and a good listener with effective communication ability, both orally and in writing. Appropriate time management skills that support the overall success and efficiency of the Sales Team. Should have good analytical skills and the ability to apply critical thinking to situations.


High School education with college level education preferred. Intermediate to high proficiency using MS Office applications, Enterprise Resource Planning (Dynamics GP) and interfacing applications as well as CRM databases.

Experience in inside or outside sales with a demonstrated ability to quickly learn a product line and become a champion for its sale and success. Attention to detail with good analytical skills. Experience with new product launches and rollouts beneficial.


Working conditions are a typical office environment with occasional exposure/interaction with production floor and warehouse areas. Operational environments can result in exposure to inclement weather conditions and may require appropriate safety equipment to include but not limited to, closed toe and/or safety shoes, hearing and eye protection.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55-58k per year salary
Commission: Up to 23% of base salary dependent in company performance and paid quarterly.
