May 12, 2009 Comet continues to expand the service offerings for our customers. On May 8, 2009, Comet was certified to perform warranty/non-warranty repairs on John Deere tier II & III engines from 2.4 to 13.5 liter. This will be a valuable service for our customers as many of the Generac generators we sell are powered by John Deere engines. Many times during warranty repairs on a generator set, the servicing company can't always perform work on the drive engine, particularly if it's a warranty issue, this can delay getting the generator back on-line. With the ability to make warranty repairs on a John Deere powered generator set from front to back, our customers will benefit from having one company to work with and reduced downtime.
